Who thinks the AMG-GT looks better than the SLS AMG?

Not at all. The only part of the SLS that looks better to me is the nose. The GT’s is too blobby for me.

I agree! I like that it’s more compact and I love the round rear.

AMG GT > SLS AMG > SLR
Good Lord, the nose of that SLR was ugly.

You are not alone. The AMG GT is smooth and sexy. The SLS is jading.

I think the match made in heaven would be the front fascia and door hinges of the SLS with everything else from the AMG GT (and yes, I understand the AMG GT has a weird nose because silly pedestrians and all that jazz).

GT face, SLS from windshield back, SLR mechanical/drivetrain bits = on rad headache :]

I still like the SLS but I think the GT looks better overall.

I would do anything for those wheels tho. And the noise.

The AMG GT looks so boring. And not in a understated, Teutonic beauty way a la E36.
Just in an unlicensed racing game way.

GT - still not a good-looking car.
![]() 12/19/2016 at 17:32 |

But those wheels are sharp.

Not just you, I prefer the AMG-GT in every single way.
Especially the GT C. In person, those bulging fenders...they get me bulging too.

Definitely not.

I thought the question to ask would be the opposite.
I never liked the looks of the GT. I’d take the SLS any day.

I’ve not seen a GT C yet, but I’m not one for convertibles.
The AMG GTR though.......that front end....those chrome slats.....yuck.

Yes... this was the era of Mercedes-Benz flopping a giant steel penis down the hood of the SLR (and SLK) to give them a passing resemblance to F1 cars.
As a gay man, I approved the thought more than the execution of it.
Especially considering the existence of the contemporary BMW GINA concept.

There’s little bits and pieces of the SLS I prefer but overall I like the AMG GT a whole lot more.

I think the SLS looks and sounds better. So shoot me.

I agree, although I’d still rather have an SL.
Something about old money and new attitude. It splits the middle between the S-class Cabriolet and the AMG GT C Roadster, and that middle area is exactly what I’d want in a six digit convertible.

I’m not a fan of ‘verts either, but the GT C will get a coupe version as well, with the same bodywork.
The panamericana grille is an homage to the AMG GT3 race car. I liked it.

Everybody should agree with you on that one. The only way the SLS is “better” is in the not normal doors category.

I wish either car had the Bi-Turbo V12 from any _65 AMG vehicle. Not that I could afford one, but I need to know there is that level of insanity in the world.

Why not both/gif
![]() 12/19/2016 at 19:20 |

You are not! I like the SLS overall, but it’s always had a weird face.

Well let’s not forget the SL Black, which was all sorts of bonertastic.

Me. I saw one in person and it’s the only sports car I’ve ever liked better than a Porsche (and I’m a hard core Porsche fan). The AMG-GT is amazing in person, a true piece of automotive art.

But SLS AMG GT3.....
